Osmundacetone is a natural product isolated from Osmundae Rhizoma, with neuroprotective and anti-apoptotic effects. Osmundacetone also has DPPH scavenging activity and anti-oxidative stress activity. Osmundacetone inhibits MAPK phosphorylation, including JNK, ERK, and p38 kinase. Osmundacetone can be a potential agent for the research of neurodegenerative diseases[1][2].
